Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton recovered from a 10-second penalty to win the British Grand Prix after a first-lap collision with title rival Max Verstappen.
Race summary
Verstappen started from pole position but was overtaken by Hamilton at the start. The two drivers made contact on the opening lap, with Verstappen crashing out of the race.
Hamilton was given a 10-second penalty for the collision, but he was able to serve it during a pit stop and still come out ahead of the other drivers.
The victory was Hamilton's eighth at Silverstone and his first since 2019.
