Thomas Tuchel's Bayern Munich Farewell Announced

Thomas Tuchel will relinquish his post as Bayern Munich head coach at the end of the season, the club announced on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old replaced Julian Nagelsmann at the German champions in 2023, signing a contract until 2025.

However, Tuchel has decided to leave the club at the end of the current campaign, with Bayern confirming the news in a statement on their official website.

The statement read: "FC Bayern München and head coach Thomas Tuchel have agreed to terminate their contract at the end of the season."

"The club would like to thank Thomas for his hard work and dedication during his time at Bayern."

"We wish him all the best for the future."

Tuchel's departure comes after a disappointing season for Bayern, who were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by Real Madrid.

The German giants also trail Borussia Dortmund by seven points in the Bundesliga title race with just six games remaining.

Tuchel is expected to be replaced by RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose, who is believed to have already agreed a deal to take over at Bayern next season.
