Callum Wilson scored in either half as Newcastle United beat Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor to earn their third straight Premier League victory. The win extends Burnley's winless streak to six games and leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table.
Newcastle took the lead in the 20th minute when Wilson latched onto a pass from Allan Saint-Maximin and fired home from close range. The Magpies doubled their lead in the 59th minute when Wilson headed home a cross from Kieran Trippier.
Burnley pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute when Jay Rodriguez scored from close range, but it was not enough to prevent Newcastle from taking all three points.
The win moves Newcastle up to ninth place in the table, while Burnley remain bottom with just one point from their first six games.
