Rangers Exodus Continues
McGregor and Three Others Depart
Allan McGregor is among four more players to leave Rangers, as the club’s exodus continues following their financial collapse. McGregor, who was Rangers captain, is joined by Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty, and Jamie Ness in departing Ibrox.
McGregor, who spent a year with Besiktas after leaving Rangers in 2012, had returned to Ibrox in 2016 and helped the club win the Scottish Championship and Scottish Cup in 2016-17. He then moved to Hull City in 2018, where he made over 100 appearances.
Davis, who was also part of Rangers' 2016-17 title-winning team, joined Portsmouth in 2019. Lafferty, who spent two spells at Rangers, joined Kilmarnock in 2020, while Ness joined Dundee United in 2019.
