Golden State Warriors Stats Vs Kings

Kings Advance In Play-In Tournament, Defeat Warriors 118-109

Sacramento Moves on to Face Memphis in Ninth Seed Matchup

Curry's 40 Not Enough to Stop Kings

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Sacramento Kings are moving on to the next round of the 2024 NBA Play-In Tournament after defeating the Golden State Warriors 118-109 on Sunday night. The Kings, who entered the game as the seventh seed in the Western Conference, were led by De'Aaron Fox's 27 points and 10 assists. Domantas Sabonis added 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Malik Monk chipped in with 20 points off the bench. The Warriors, who were the eighth seed in the West, were led by Stephen Curry's 40 points. Klay Thompson added 22 points, while Kevon Looney had 11 rebounds. The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than seven points at any point. The Kings took a 55-53 lead into halftime, and they held on to that lead for the rest of the game. The Warriors made a run in the fourth quarter, cutting the Kings' lead to just two points with less than two minutes remaining. However, the Kings were able to close out the game with a series of free throws. With the win, the Kings will advance to the ninth seed in the Western Conference and will face the Memphis Grizzlies in a single-elimination game on Tuesday night. The winner of that game will advance to the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors, meanwhile, will see their season come to an end. It was a disappointing finish for a team that was expected to contend for a championship this season.
